AP came to us in August 2018 for a number of other symptoms at which time his exaggerated Kyphosis was diagnosed.
This is a good example of “Gamers” Kyphosis, meaning increased curve due to excessive slouching in front of the TV.
Add poor mobile phone usage habits and this type of curve is becoming far too common.
RESULTS
In the image below you can see his transformation after 10 weeks of key habit changes.
Image 1 was taken at his Initial Consultation on 2 August 2018. Image 2 was taken on 18 September 2018 (7 weeks). Image 3 was taken 24 September 2018 (8 weeks). Image 4 was taken on 9 October 2018 (10 weeks).
DISCUSSION
Knowing what to do and avoid is key to making a change to appearances. There is no benefit at times in doing exercises if key habits aren’t addressed. Many dollars can be spent on therapy sessions with unimpressive outcomes. A cause and effect model was used in this case to push the chest forwards relative to the chest cage and significantly change the ‘sway-back’ appearance.
